We are constantly reminded, as healers and intuitives, that it is important that we do not adopt the energy and emotions of others. Doing so drains us, and also stops them from learning what they need to learn.
The people on whom we work are often given the same message.
How do you protect your energy and not adopt the energy of others?
Imagine placing yourself in a giant soap bubble.
The outer edge of your bubble helps you to imagine where your energy ends. On the other side of this bubble is where everyone else's energy resides. If someone get's too close - physically or emotionally, draw you bubble closer to you.
This is not a shield meant to keep your safe, or armor to hide behind, but rather a tool to help define you and your space. You are in total control. Everything going on outside of you and your space is "Shakespeare's theatre meant to entertain you." 1
How much more power would being able to be objective give you? Visualizing this bubble helps you to remove yourself from the emotion of the situation and to place yourself in the position of "impartial observer."
No army can withstand the strength of an idea whose time has come. -- Victor Hugo
